Why a yoga retreat in Morocco?
- Close, yet another world: From Belgium and the Netherlands it is a 3.5 to 4 hour flight to Marrakech or Essaouira, with hardly any time difference. One flight and you are among the souks, the mint tea, the Atlas mountains and the Atlantic Ocean.
- Sun when you need it: Spring and autumn are pleasantly warm in Morocco, so your practice moves outdoors: yoga in the courtyard, in the garden or looking out over the Atlas foothills.
- Rest and adventure: Two classes a day give your week its shape. In between you explore the medina, surf, visit the hammam or hike in the Atlas mountains. Or you do nothing at all by the pool.
- Food that nourishes: Moroccan cooking is fresh, colourful and easily vegetarian: tagines, fresh salads, msemen for breakfast. On our retreats everything is cooked fresh for you every day.
Essaouira or Marrakech?
We host retreats in two places in Morocco, and they feel very different.
Essaouira or Marrakech: which suits your yoga retreat? →
Essaouira: Coast, sea breeze and a relaxed medina
A small walled town on the Atlantic coast. The medina is calm and easy to find your way around, the beach is close by and the sea breeze keeps it pleasant even in summer. Ideal if you want to pair yoga with surfing, beach walks and a slower pace. You stay in our six-bedroom riad, 10 minutes from the beach.
Marrakech: Palm gardens, souks and the Atlas mountains
Livelier and warmer, with the famous souks and the Atlas mountains within reach. Our villa sits in a quiet garden of palms and olive trees, 30 minutes from the airport: you seek out the bustle of the city when you feel like it. Perfect for a more luxurious reset with a private chef and an Atlas hike.
A private riad or villa
During a retreat the place belongs to our group alone. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, shared rooms included.
| Place | City | Bedrooms | Max guests | Airport | What makes it special |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The riad in Essaouira | Essaouira | 6 | 12 | 15 min | Courtyard with fountain · infinity pool with Atlas view |
| The villa in Marrakech | Marrakech | 5 | 10 | 30 min | Palm garden · large pool · private chef |
| A luxury villa in Essaouira | Essaouira | Coming soon | |||
Two classes, plenty of space
- Tea on the rooftop: Mint, ginger, no rush.
- Morning yoga: 90 min Vinyasa with Charlotte.
- Slow breakfast: Msemen, fruit, fresh juice.
- Today's adventure: Surf · horseback · hammam · pottery.
- Lunch in the riad: Long, shared, vegetarian.
- Free time: Relax at the pool, read a book, do nothing at all.
- Sunset Pilates or Yin: 60 min, gentler than the morning.
- Dinner: Tagine, wine, longer than expected.
Everything arranged, except your flight
- Your stay: In a private riad or villa, in a shared or private room, always with its own bathroom
- Two classes a day: Vinyasa, Rocket, Yin, meditation or Pilates, for every level
- Fresh food: Freshly made every day and vegetarian-friendly, with care for dietary needs
- Activities: Depending on the retreat: a surf lesson, hammam, medina tour, Atlas hike or a workshop
- Charlotte on site: She is with you all week and takes care of everything, from arrival to departure
Not included: your flight, travel insurance and usually the airport transfer, which we are happy to arrange.

When is the best time?
Morocco works almost all year, but there are differences. In Essaouira the sea breeze keeps it mild year-round, summer included, though July and August can be very windy. In Marrakech spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most pleasant: warm days and cool evenings. In summer it often climbs above 35 °C. That is why we plan our retreats in spring and autumn.
