Corporate yoga: what it is, what it costs and what it delivers
By Charlotte Schoeters · · 7 min read
Yoga at work explained: the formats, the price (in-company from €150 per session in and around Antwerp) and what research says about stress.
Corporate yoga is yoga that an employer offers to its staff, at the office or during a retreat, to reduce stress, keep people moving and strengthen the team. It ranges from a weekly class in a meeting room to a full retreat abroad.
Why companies invest in it
Work stress is no longer a side issue. According to RIZIV/INAMI, Belgium spent more than €2.5 billion on invalidity benefits for depression and burn-out in 2024, 78% more than in 2019. Long-term sickness absence also reached record levels: Securex measured 3.35% long-term absence among Belgian employees in 2025. Employers are also legally required to assess psychosocial risks such as work stress and burn-out and to take prevention measures.
What does the research say?
A meta-analysis of workplace yoga programmes (Della Valle et al., 2020) found a clear reduction in perceived stress among participants compared with control groups. A large review of 56 trials on mindfulness at work (Vonderlin et al., 2020) found lower stress and burn-out complaints. The honest caveat: the studies are often small, and there is no hard proof that yoga by itself reduces sick leave. What it does do is lower stress, and stress is one of the main drivers of long-term absence.
The formats
- In-company class: Charlotte comes to your office, in and around Antwerp, for €150 per session for the whole group
- Day retreat: a full day of yoga, breathwork and reflection, as a kick-off, team day or reset
- Weekend or midweek: two to four days with classes, good food and room for team sessions
- Retreat abroad: several days in Morocco, in our riad or villa or another place that fits your budget and group
Day retreats, weekends and midweeks are fully tailored to the employer's budget: location, programme, catering and group size are all open.
What does corporate yoga cost?
An in-company class costs €150 per session, regardless of the number of participants. With a group of 12 that comes to €12.50 per person per class. Many companies start with a trial class and then move to a weekly or fortnightly series. Retreats abroad start from €950 per person, from 6 people.
